BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has called an 'emergency' meeting of the party's highest policy making body, the standing committee, on Monday to discuss 'future course of anti-government agitation'.
BNP Office Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told bdnews24.com the meeting would take place at 9:30pm at the BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office.
Senior leaders of the opposition party said the meeting had been called to decide the next course of actions.
BNP's Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday said that his party would announce fresh demonstration programmes after Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
