... Crossed 22 days … 2 victims of Satkhira did not get any support to rebuild home and to carry on regular life.

Hours after Jamaat top leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee was sentenced to death, Jamaat and Shibir activists set fire to our local awami leage office, burned our national flag and photo of our father of the nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and our leader Sheikh Hasina. On 28th of February noon after the praying of Jummah namaz more than 3 thousand peoples from nearest several villages attacked with petrol and weapons and with slogan “ Naraye Takbir, Allahu Aqbar. We ‘re the Taleban, this Bengal will be Afghan.” and looted everything… gold, crockery, Well, that was just a starting”. 60 years old Sadhanchandra mandal Stated to Al Jazeera on Friday.
In Satkhira district 2 Hindu houses have been attacked and looted.
In Shyamnagar upazilla the house of Sadhucharan Mandal has been vandalized and looted. Surobhi rani mandal of Bhurulia Union , Sirajpur village stated her situation in brief. Both of them were crying with deep frustration.
Sadhucharan was senior vice president of Awami league here for 34 years. As his feelings , “ I always use to live very honest and simple life and I tried my best to protect other peoples. I think it is a sin to them the extremist and fundamentalists. On that day from the morning Jamaat leaders announced to keep off the biggest village market of this south area of the district. And the market is situated beside our party office. Ethically I did work to support the mass peoples because they are very poor, they don’t have any other earning source, I was with them to keep their small business continue . I think it was the main reason to attack my house.” He continued all of our local party men were total 150 peoples. I n fact my senior leader Joglul Haider Shyampur thana Awami leage president asked me by mobile call to protect local peoples with police and BGB. I tried my best, but only 14 police officers and 4 platoon around 200 Border guard Bangladesh officers were scared when more than 3 thousand Extremist came to attack us. And then police –BGB escaped away. Me too tried to get shelter to a neighbor. My wife herself , my daughter in law with her two kids herself tried to save life crossed a pond with swimming . Still now we are not safe , could not build my home... no one will care my tears…. I’m now penniless. I need to take immediate treatment as my cardiologist asked. 5 thousand cash money, gold ornaments which in cash 6-7 lakh taka. 2nd of march filed a case against 252 persons and 600 unknown .My grandsons still cannot move for their school or anywhere. Another case filed by Awami league Shyamnagar Upajila joint secretary accusing unknown peoples.

Surobhi rani mandal said to this reporter with tears , “religious bigots ransacked and torched my home. It’s very natural, as a hindu woman I feel frustrated . After such a violent attack on my family, where can we go? We don’t have any option to leave our motherland or to migrate India. We don’t have any relative or Whereas my husband is mentally ill. I’ve lost All 3 cows of mine , I’m dependent on milk selling of those, my only earning source. She feared Jamaat shibir hooligans will attack again. Jamayte islami local worker Rahmat, Rabbani, Mokter Bhoot( Mokter ghost) attacked my home. Before that they use to attract me as I’ll be given huge amount of money and land , if I agree with them to move along with them.Local chairman said, “ As a hindu, you should keep you safe. Don’t move against jamat” Surobhi also stated, “ I don’t like to file any case. I don’t have any guardian who will save me or my family.They torched my personal idols, how can I pray now?” I’m worried they will attack again. Nobody is coming to help us, What can we do now??” Religious fanatics damaged and torched several idols of Surobhi rani Mondol. A gang of fanatics entered her home 28th February noon. Though Surubhi identified few of the attackers , but neither the local committee nor police could identify the attackers.
